This boot has come in many versions. This patchwork version came about through not being able to choose (too many beautiful leathers) to eventually being forced to choose (not wanting to waste) and really now the boot dictates... This particular version is composed of calf, camel, crosta and a painted cracked crosta. The camel skin is a natural vegetal tanned skin that has the natural markings from the animal remaining. The other leathers have more controlled finishes but all perform in a beautifully and will age well. The heel is solid wood and the lining and sole are all leather. There is a memory insole. The top part of the boot can be worn down or up. The back oversized zip allows easy entrance and a beautiful fit around the ankle. I love this style as it's a mid calf boot that's fitted and really can fit under trousers, trousers tucked in (see pic). Under skirts/dresses... It's basically an easy wear but also quite a smart boot so can really elevate a casual situation.. or not....And most importantly it's beautiful and beautifully made.
Only 15 pairs were made.
Heel height 5cm solid wood.
Details: fully piped in navy grosgrain with thick metal zip.
Fit pretty exact on the foot, the model is 5'4 or 164 cm in height
Toe shape is a sort of short almond.
Calf lined.
Care: low maintenance. Can be sprayed on the suede.
The cracked white will wear and show some of the black suede coming through with time.
