Description

This style was base around an older style called Calhoun. I tend to find a leather/fabric/techniques that I want to apply to my shoes and this kind of directs me to new styles... The frill on this style is a paper thin lambskin that has been fused to a 100% silk chiffon... If I made clothes I would find a way of using this leather..! It's from a french tannery that has a showroom just down the road from me in Paris. They specialize in lambskins with and without the fur... Their technique is equally interesting to the back of the leather as it is to the top.
I wear this style a lot.. The frill is longer at the back and drops making your foot look like it is being offered up like a chocolate... I try and have a go wearing all my shoes mostly as I want to but also I need to see how and why different leathers end up performing in different ways... This frill got better with wear, the quality is brilliant and durable. This style has a wide spectrum of looks, can be dressed up or down very easily... I wear them casually with old jeans and an old henley, my 80 year old mother wears them with stiff gold organza silk trousers tapered with strong pleated leg...I often imagine what a shoe would be like if it were a person and would I be friends with this person? I think the Cally would be an extremely good friend who I wish I saw more of...
10mm platform and 25mm keel. Memory foam lined with rubber ant slide injected into the sole. Calf lined.
Fit:
Pretty exact but one could go half a size down if they have a narrow foot.  This style kicks off easily but of course stays on when walking.
