This is a style that I have been doing since my second winter season in 2013, although the last and heel in this style I designed back in 2006, when I was working with a Spanish last and heel maker. It was something that stuck in my mind, so when I decided to launch my own line, I contacted that factory and asked them if they still had it, and they did... So here it still is... Although, over the years, I re-developed it with an Italian last and heel factory, tweaking it here and there til it became what it is today... Pretty perfect (fit wise!).
This boot has a lot of hidden detail that can be appreciated and felt by the wearer, while looking like a simple, elegant silhouette. It has a Victorian semi center front seam and a hidden metal zip under some metal poppers. The heel is 75mm.
This version of the Addis is in a beautiful, waxy calfskin. Upcycled from someone else's cancelled orders, this skin has been waiting a while to be turned into something. I kept the name Klimt, which was given to the leather by the Italian tannery it came from, because it was spot on... Very rarely are the names spot on. They have to think of so many, you can tell when they get bored. The naming of a leather can become ridiculous.
A Klimt-silver, waxy, deep, but with a glow... The heel is covered in veneer stone (yes, real stone), making each heel unique.
Calf-lined (also upcycled), memory foam-lined insole. Leather sole.
